Affordable Fees for Small Business Websites
We offer small business websites at an affordable cost. Fees vary from project to project, of course, and are affected by the client's competition and involvement. A website for a small business looking to generate new customers locally, such as a pet sitting service, will cost less than a client seeking customers nationwide in a competitive industry like home loans. A client's involvement can reduce fees: For instance, if you can write text for your website that requires only minor editing, that means less work for us. If you know who your online competitors are and you can provide their website addresses, page descriptions and keywords, that's less work for us. The same goes for photos: If you provide digital photos so we don't have to scan or purchase them, that can save you money, too. Your prompt response and assistance in helping us complete your website project may also keep the cost down.
Website Design Costs
Here's a rough estimate of our fees: A basic five-page website where you supply draft text for page content, digital photos, up to 5 keyword phrases and a list of 4 to 6 competitor websites will run about $500. This includes website design, graphic header, text editing, up to 8 photos, an email contact form if desired, basic on-site search engine optimization (SEO) and minor revisions during the first year. Updating a site to refresh the look and add search engine optimization may cost as much or more than what we would charge to start from scratch but we're finding that our fees are often less than what the original webmaster charged. An older website that doesn't show up in search results may benefit from a wider format, revised text, more graphics, additional pages and search engine optimization.
